I’m still on cloud nine after shooting my nephew and his beautiful wife’s maternity session on Dauphin Island last Friday afternoon. We watched the weather all week and decided that Friday was the day to drive down to the Alabama Coast and shoot. No sooner had we left on our 3 hour drive, it started to rain and rain and rain. It rained almost the whole drive down there but as soon as we crossed the bridge into Dauphin Island, the rain stopped. It didn’t even look like it had rained at all down there all day. The light was perfect and the beach was beautiful. I haven’t been down to Dauphin Island in 25+ years so I was a little nervous about what the water might look like and about finding a good place for us to shoot but the water was clear and beautiful and the west end of the island was the perfect backdrop!
