Jamee and Austin’s wedding day was a dream….not just because of the beauty of the day (and the couple themselves) but all the emotions that were shared with those that love them the most. I teared up more than once throughout the day just watching this sweet couple interact with family and friends. The day before the wedding was sunny and the temperature was about 70 degrees but a cold front moved through that night and the high on Saturday was 42! 42 and WINDY! The sun was still shining though and we carried on, with a few breaks to warm up!
Jamee chose to have lots of first looks with her family and bridesmaids but she and Austin chose not to see each other before the ceremony. They did decide to spend some time together and read letters that they had written to each other. It was such a sweet moment and I’m sure it helped them calm their nerves a bit.
After the ceremony and after taking formals and couple photos, we headed to the reception at The Cedars in Jackson. My friend, Holly Burns, from Colley’s Catering had the reception decorated beautifully and the food looked amazing. I’ve worked several weddings with Holly and Colley and I look forward to working with them again in the upcoming months. I’m pretty sure one of Austin’s highlights of the day had to be the queso fountain. It looked amazing. I have to say, the garter toss had to be the highlight of the reception! When the Top Gun theme song came on, I knew that we were in for a treat! BEST SURPRISE EVER!
After a lot of dancing, speeches and hugs, Jamee and Austin left the reception and into a new chapter of their lives. I can’t wait to see all that God has in store for you two! Thank you so much for such a great day!
