A Mississippi Lifestyle Newborn Session -Baby Jack – Amy Beckley Photography Newborns

There’s something so deeply special about being invited into a family’s life again and again—like being handed a front-row seat to watch their story unfold.

This week, I drove out to Meridian for a newborn lifestyle session with baby Jack—and this one felt extra meaningful. Not just because he’s a brand-new little life, but because I’ve had the honor of photographing his big sisters when they were born, too.

When his mama texted me months ago to “save the date,” I smiled. That kind of text isn’t just about photography—it’s about trust. It’s about saying, “We want you to be part of this moment, too.”

We started the session inside, where baby Jack snuggled in peacefully (as newborns do best). There’s always something sacred about capturing a family in their everyday space. No backdrops or fancy setups—just their real home, their real love, their real life.

But my favorite part came when we stepped into the backyard.

The girls ran barefoot through the grass, picking flowers and chasing each other in the fall sunlight. It felt less like posing and more like memory-making. That’s the beauty of lifestyle sessions—they give room for childhood to just be.

And in the middle of it all, baby Jack. Held tight. Loved big. Welcomed by two big sisters who already adore him.

These are the stories I love telling—the ones that grow over time.

Baby Jack, you are so loved. And I’m so grateful I got to be part of your beginning.

If you’ve been wondering what a newborn session could feel like, especially if you have older siblings in the mix… this is it. Honest. Joyful. Beautifully chaotic.
