Guys… this may be my favorite session EVER and it was in NEW ORLEANS! One of my favorite places in the world.
I am SO excited to finally be sharing this one!!
This was part two of Lottie’s senior casual package. We took a summer road trip starting in Hattiesburg and ending down to Ocean Springs, and now our next stop… New Orleans. Somewhere between the car playlists, laughing way too much, and trying the viral Grinch fries on our way home, I knew this trip—and this session—was going to be one for the books.
The French Quarter gave us everything. We didn’t have a strict plan—we just walked. Block by block, turning corners, discovering colorful doors, weathered shutters, iron balconies, and hidden little spots at almost every turn. There was this sense of excitement and mystery the whole time, like you never knew what the next street was going to give you—and that made the session feel effortless and fun.
And then you add Lottie into the scene… and I instantly knew we were in for a good day.
Her outfit choices were absolute perfection for the Quarter—bold, confident, and so her. From the rich red romper that popped against the muted textures of the city to her softer, timeless looks, every outfit felt like it belonged right where we were standing. She brought such an easy confidence to the session, and photographing her felt natural from start to finish.
I’ve photographed this sweet girl since the 7th grade, and I always look forward to seeing her every single year. Getting to do part two of her senior casual package in a city like New Orleans—exploring, laughing, and creating together—felt like such a full-circle moment. It’s never just about the photos for me; it’s about the years, the memories, and getting to watch someone grow into who they’re becoming.
Lottie, thank you for trusting me year after year and for making this New Orleans winter session so special. You are such a joy, and I hope you love scrolling through some of my favorites as much as I loved creating them.
Stay tuned for PART TWO… The French Quarter was not the only place we went that day………..
