In just a few short weeks since Emma and Hays chose me as their wedding photographer for their November 2026 wedding, I’ve already fallen completely in love with them! Their day is going to be epic—and I cannot wait to walk alongside them throughout the next year, capturing each chapter of their journey to “I do.”
If you’re local to Mississippi, you know how unpredictable the weather can be. I actually photographed my final wedding of 2025 just one day before this session—it was warm and dreamy, not at all what you’d expect for late December. And then came Emma and Hays’ engagement session… it was 40 degrees, windy, and so cold. But you would never guess that from the images.
Emma was an absolute trooper. Despite freezing temps (and me literally losing feeling in my fingers!), she radiated joy. I’m so proud of how we created magic together even in the chill—and it helps that we had an indoor backup: The Faulkner.
We rented The Faulkner in Downtown Jackson, MS for the afternoon, and it turned out to be perfect. The warmth, the textures, the classic architecture—every floor has its own personality. As soon as Emma shared her vision for the session, I knew this was the space that would bring it to life.
And let’s talk about that rooftop. The 6th floor, with its panoramic views of Downtown Jackson, caught the golden glow of sunset just right—even with the icy wind whipping around us. Those rooftop shots? Some of my favorites of the entire year.
So grateful to be on this journey with Emma and Hays. November 2026, we’re coming for you.
