Weddings

December weddings have a rhythm all their own.
There’s something quieter… warmer… more intentional about them.

Chloe and Hoyt chose to celebrate their day with an elegant nod to Christmas—without going full holiday—and it was absolutely perfect. Emerald green and soft white, touches of gold, and the glow of warm December light created a day that felt timeless and deeply meaningful.

Their wedding took place at 1101 Barn & Bin in Pheba, Mississippi, and it was a dream. This was my first wedding there, and I truly hope it won’t be my last. Every inch of the venue is thoughtfully curated, and it feels like there’s a photo waiting for you around every corner. Add in that golden December light, and it’s pure magic.

But what made this day unforgettable were the intentional details.

Chloe was thoughtful in every choice she made—from the Advent ornaments used in the reception space, to the cozy hot cocoa bar for guests, to wearing her mom’s wedding dress for the rehearsal dinner. She even used part of that dress as a wrap for her bouquet. One of my favorite touches was the photo station she set up for her guests, where families could have portraits taken and then pick up printed photos at the end of the night. It was such a generous, meaningful way to serve the people she loves.

I met Chloe and Hoyt late in the spring for their engagement session, and I fell in love with them immediately. There is a peace about them—one you feel the moment you’re around them. They are kind, thoughtful, and deeply intentional, not only with each other, but with everyone in their lives.

That heart was on full display on their wedding day.

Every single person present mattered to them. They chose to eat dinner with their guests, linger in conversation, and create space to truly share the joy of the day with the people who came to celebrate them.

As I reflect back on this wedding, one word keeps rising to the surface.

Joy.

Joy perfectly describes Chloe and Hoyt’s wedding day—but even more than that, it describes who they are as a couple.
