Landree & JT | A Wedding Day Rooted in Faith, Family, and Love
Some wedding days are built around a venue. Others are built around a vision. But Landree and JT’s wedding day was built around something even more meaningful—faith, family, and love.
From exchanging private vows before the ceremony to celebrating with family and friends at Landree’s family home, every part of the day reflected what mattered most to them. It wasn’t about elaborate details or grand gestures. It was about honoring the people who helped shape their story, celebrating the love they share, and beginning their marriage surrounded by the community that means so much to them.
When Landree described her dream wedding day as happy, emotional, and a blessing, she couldn’t have chosen more fitting words.
The Sweetest Beginning
The day began with excitement and anticipation as Landree prepared for one of the most important days of her life.
Her details reflected a soft and timeless palette of blush pink, baby blue, and champagne. Delicate florals featuring blue hydrangeas, white roses, and baby’s breath added a romantic touch throughout the day while remaining true to the simple elegance they envisioned.
Surrounded by her bridesmaids, laughter filled the room as everyone helped prepare for the celebration ahead. There was a sense of excitement, but also a quiet awareness that this was more than just a wedding day—it was the beginning of a marriage.
A Few Quiet Moments Together
One of the things I loved most about Landree and JT’s wedding day was that they intentionally created space to simply be together.
Before the ceremony, before the bridal party joined them, and before the excitement of the day fully unfolded, they shared a private first look and exchanged handwritten vows.
It was emotional. It was heartfelt. And it was completely centered on the two of them.
Afterward, we wandered beneath the trees and along the water, not so much for a “portrait session,” but to give them a few extra moments together before the day swept them into the celebration waiting ahead.
As they talked, laughed, held hands, and soaked in everything they had just shared, I simply documented what was already happening.
Some of my favorite images from their wedding came during this time because nothing felt forced. The smiles were genuine. The laughter came easily. Every glance and embrace carried the weight of the promises they had just made to one another.
When I look at these photographs now, I don’t see poses. I see two people who had just poured their hearts out in private vows and were taking a few quiet moments to let it all sink in before walking down the aisle.
And honestly, I think that’s what makes them so special.
A Ceremony Centered on Faith
Landree and JT were married at Clarke Venable Church in Decatur, Mississippi, surrounded by family, friends, and the faith that has helped guide their relationship.
As guests filled the pews, there was a sense of joyful anticipation in the room. The ceremony was filled with heartfelt emotion, proud smiles, and more than a few happy tears as these two promised forever to one another.
One of my favorite moments came just after they were pronounced husband and wife. Walking back down the aisle together, their joy was impossible to miss. The smiles, the laughter, and the excitement on their faces perfectly captured the emotion of the day.
Family and Friends at the Heart of Everything
If there was one thing that stood out throughout Landree and JT’s wedding day, it was the love that surrounded them.
From the excitement of the morning preparations to the celebration that carried on well into the evening, family and friends were woven into every part of the day.
You could see it in the laughter shared between bridesmaids as they helped Landree get ready. You could feel it during the ceremony as guests watched with joyful tears and proud smiles. And you could hear it throughout the reception as loved ones gathered together to celebrate the newlyweds.
One of my favorite things about weddings is watching the people who have been part of a couple’s journey come together in one place. Parents, siblings, grandparents, childhood friends, and lifelong mentors all have a role in the story.
For Landree and JT, their wedding wasn’t just about saying “I do.” It was about celebrating alongside the people who have encouraged them, supported them, laughed with them, prayed for them, and loved them throughout the years.
The entire day felt like a reflection of the relationships that matter most—filled with genuine connection, heartfelt emotion, and the kind of joy that can only come from being surrounded by the people you love.
Celebrating at Home
After the ceremony, guests gathered at Landree’s family home for a reception that felt warm, welcoming, and deeply personal.
There is something incredibly special about celebrating in a place filled with memories. The familiar surroundings, the gathering of loved ones, and the relaxed atmosphere made the evening feel less like an event and more like an extension of everything that mattered most about the day.
As the sun began to set, family and friends shared meals, conversations, laughter, and stories. Children played, guests mingled, and the celebration unfolded naturally—exactly the way the best wedding days often do.
Dancing the Night Away
As evening settled in, the celebration continued with music from CJ the DJ and a dance floor filled with people who couldn’t wait to celebrate Landree and JT.
The energy was contagious. Guests laughed, danced, and cheered as the newlyweds soaked in every moment of their first evening as husband and wife.
It was the perfect ending to a day that was filled with so much joy from beginning to end.
A Day That Felt Like a Blessing
When Landree described her vision for her wedding day, one word stood out above all the others: blessing.
Looking back, it’s hard to think of a better way to describe it.
Their wedding day wasn’t defined by trends or elaborate details. It was defined by the things that last far beyond the wedding itself—faith, family, friendship, and love.
From private vows shared beneath the trees to promises exchanged at Clarke Venable Church, and from heartfelt embraces to a celebration at the family home, every part of the day reflected the foundation they are building their marriage upon.
Landree and JT’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful celebrations aren’t necessarily the grandest ones. They’re the ones where you feel completely surrounded by the people who love you most as you begin your next chapter together.
And that is exactly what made this day so unforgettable.
