The day began with a private first look before heading to the courthouse.
There is something special about slowing down and creating space for a couple to simply be together before the ceremony begins. Away from the excitement and emotions of the day, Raine and Hunter shared a few quiet moments together before making their way to downtown Jackson.

When we arrived at the Hinds County Courthouse, immediate family gathered to witness their ceremony.
One of my favorite moments happened before they ever stepped inside. One of the things I love about intimate wedding days is having the freedom to slow down and create meaningful portraits without feeling rushed.
For Raine and Hunter, that meant spending part of the afternoon at the historic King Edward Hotel in downtown Jackson, Mississippi.
The beautiful window light, classic architecture, and timeless interiors created the perfect setting for portraits that felt romantic and sophisticated while still staying true to their laid-back personalities.
Rather than focusing on heavily posed images, my goal was to document their connection naturally—the way they looked at one another, the excitement of being newly married, and the quiet moments that often become some of a couple’s favorite memories.

Champagne and Cake on the Courthouse Steps
To end the day, Raine and Hunter celebrated with a private champagne toast and cake cutting on the courthouse steps.
No reception.
No formal entrance.
No packed dance floor.
Just the two of them sharing cake, popping champagne, and soaking in the reality that they were officially married.
It was simple.

And it was completely them.
As they sat together on the courthouse steps laughing, sharing bites of cake, and enjoying a quiet moment away from everyone else, it became clear that this was exactly the kind of wedding day they had envisioned.
